Hi guys. I am planning to do a soft landing before the CoPR expires and then come back. If i want to go back, i know that i need the PR card, which is taking more than 2 months to receive. If i want to go back immediately to join a job, then is it safe to apply for the PRTD? I read that it depends on the embassy and they can sometimes refuse as well? Does it mean they refuse only the PRTD request or does it affect my PR status as well?

When you land give a address of a friend or relative in Canada where they will dispatch your PR cards to.
Let this friend or relative of yours send courier you the cards to Dubai

Ya that is the plan but not sure if they accept this anymore. Saw a post which said they have changed this process and you will have to be present in Canada to collect the PR card.
To your point above, if i have to go back to Canada before i receive the PR card, that is when i want to clarify on PRTD's reliance.
Hi guys, I would wanted to clarify something regarding collection of PR cards. Is it still allowed to provide the address of a family/ friend address in Canada to receive the PR card or has this process changed and they're asking for the candidate to collect it?

Thanks for sharing. I am confused what to do as i am seeing two sides of the coin. Some are saying that it is ok for anyone to receive your PR card and courier it to you. But there are others who are saying the officer at the airport specifically asked them if they will be in Canada to personally collect the card and if not then to apply for PRTD. Also, others are saying they might catch as the PR cards have RF ID and it is Illegal to send it abroad through courier.
Hehehe. BTW, you don't need to take all the money at once right? I mean they have a requirement of 12K+ CAD, I don't have to take all when I land right?
Yes it is not mandatory to take all the money in one shot but u will have to give them all the evidence while u land that u still have some money or belongings which r still left behind and u want to take them along in the next visit or by online transfer.. u need to declare them while landing formalities will be done...
they will ask u to make a list of things u r carrying along and a list of follow up things
