I applied PGWP on february 2nd and received two e-mails(march 2nd and april 2nd) which are saying 'there have been no updates for your application'. And I am still waiting.. I was wondering, calling CIC helps or changes anything?
I applied for my PGWP on February 2rd and still waiting for reply. Currently have an job offer but the company is waiting for my work permit.
I have also sent them 186(V) link for verification.
I had 2 questions:-
1) I didnt receive any blank emails from CIC - should i be worried
2) Can i get some sort of letter from CIC which shows that i have applied for my PGWP and its in process
My friend applied on the 10th of feb she has already started working with that clause ur talking about u can actually start working under implied status till u receive ur wp thats what my friend is doing . Her employer was not sure about the clause but after explaingetting to them they were ok it's already her 3rd weeknow working
quick question.
I'm moving to BC this summer from alberta.
Can I get MSP on my PGWP without being employed? thanks
there's a waiting period 3 months for MSP.
Can I apply now on my study permit and tell them that I applied for PGWP but haven't received it yet.
Or that won't work?
thanks for the help!

You should ask the relevant BC agency. My guess is you most likely can't. In Ontario, apart from having PGWP, you have to have an at least 6-month long contract and you only become entitled to get it after you complete the 3rd month on your contract.

I called BC MSP yesterday, and they said that if my SP is valid 60 days after I move to BC then they will give me the coverage.
Unfortunately mine will only be valid for 40 days. So in that case they said I need to attach receipts that I applied for PGWP and they will review it as implied status. I do not need to be employed . But they may or may not give me the insurance.
But if I get denied I just have to apply again when I actually get my PGWP.
