Typically, the processing time is calculated from the day you submitted your application, in your case, October 8, to predict a tentative date as to when you will receive your work permit.
My 1 Year post grad work permit is about to expire (in 3 days) My employer applied for LMO an today I got refusal.Reason was "low wage" compared to Canadian workers.I have also applied for work permit extension 15 days before my visa expires but I am assuming it will be denied without valid LMO.
I would like to apply for restoration of the status once my work permit gets rejected, before that my employer will increase salary and reapply for LMO.
My questions are
1. Am I on a right way?
2.Do I have to wait until my work permit gets rejected and then apply for restoration or can I apply before that?
2.How long the process of restoration lasts?
3.What is the percentage of getting my status restored?
Low wage reason is if your wage is not according to Canadian standards. you can visit workingcanada.gc.ca to get the average wage rate for your job position. I had applied for LMO as well and mentioned the average wagae rate as mentioned on this site. The wage has to be as is not a cent low or high.
You can appeal the LMO decision with new wage rate. Have you hired a lawyer or consultant for this? As they should have been aware of this point.
There is a backlog of work permit processing so appeal for the LMO as soon as possible. When did you apply for your work permit? I had applied for my work permit extension in 1st week on November and CIC says that I should wait till Feb 2013.
u can check the status by calling 18882422100, then u hit 1 wait, hit 2 wait, hit 3, then enter ur 6 digit client id, then hit 1, then enter ur 4 digit birth year then listen.

applied on oct 20, approved on jan 7, 79 processing days!!
Due to the stupid unrealiable online system, I am applying for my PGWP by PAPER (I know, it sucks....) on Jan 4th ,2013. If I were to submit the same application online as well, does anyone know what would happen?
I called today and they said they were processing from Oct 6th now. Which is weird cuz I actually applied Oct. 27th and got a response on Dec. 5th (declined saying I hadn't paid when I had, so mine was actually under review and I got it approved yesterday)
