I checked my status just now, it changes to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.".

I did not receive any emails. No worry about asking, I have the same feeling as you.

on the same day.. 11th Sep....
also whenever I try to call them, they are so full that don't even put my call in the Queue.

I applied on August 30th, and I didn't have any update so far, so do not worry. I'll wait until next week to try calling them.

Update for people waiting on their PGWP - I applied for my PGWP on September 11th 2018, My status got updated to reviewing on 16th November 2018 and my file was approved today at 7.30pm (EST) i.e 20th November 2018.
Hope this help.
Stay strong for those waiting on their permits, it will come witihin 67 days of applying.
