Congratulations! Do you know what time you applied on Jan 6?
Looks like they are very strict with timeline as its 6 Jan means after 144 days it has been approved.
Congratulations! Do you know what time you applied on Jan 6?
Thanks, I applied around 4PM
Thanks for the answer! Is there any link confirming that the officer should review my application? I was already at the border (Rainbow Bridge) the officers answer: Come later, come tomorrow .... They don’t even want to look at the documents
Hey, I went to Rainbow bridge today as well. I got there around 7:30 AM and they straight up told me they just weren't processing flagpoling applications that day. I ended up going to Peace Bridge instead around 11 AM and got my PGWP. I made a post about my experience so feel free to read that once mods approve it.

Can you share the link to your post here?
Hi, thanks a lot for your comment! I might be wrong, isn't the link that you shared for those who already have a valid work permit (WP-EXT except PGWP) ? Whereas, for the first time PGWP applicants, it's WP-EXT for PGWP?
Hey if you go to the link below,
https://ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1507&top=15

Hi, yes you can do it, once you receive your PGWP at the border (paying the $255 fee again) you must withdraw your online application by submitting a webform.
Hi, I applied for my PGWP on Jan 28th, I have my brother’s wedding in India in July first week and I am afraid my permit won’t be here before that, I already have a flight on 16th, could someone please help me about this flagpole thing? I have no idea what it is. Much appreciated!

Can you please let me know if you get an answer? I am on the same boat. Thanks
What I know is, it is called flagpolling. You go at the border to get your work permit stamped.
I plan to go to the flagpole next week. If someone has a car, and you also need to go to the border, let's unite? Some bridges can only be crossed by car

Hey, Flagpoling is when you exit Canada and come back to land as a PR, or to trigger a Work permit. To do this you need to 'exit' Canada by going to a land border - You can either do a one day trip to the U.S or just tell the U.S officer that you're doing flagpoling to apply for a Work permit in Canada, they will issue an Administrative refusal and send you back to Canada. Once in the Canadian side you tell the Canadian officer you are doing flag poling to apply for a PGWP. He'll request your documents and ask you a few questions, if everything looks good he'll issue your Work permit on the spot.
You'll have to pay the PGWP fees again ($255) and withdraw your online application via webform once you've your PGWP.

Good luck!

Will they need a valid eTA or TRV to re-enter? Some may not have that...
