Applied on December 24, 2021
Review of Eligibility started on May 1, 2022.

Hey congrats. May I ask where did you apply from and was your program for 2 years? Also, did you submit a medical report when you applied? Sorry for all the questions

It’s all good. I know how stressful it can get.
I applied in British Columbia. I took post bacc in accounting for 2 years and no, I did not do a medical exam

Are you from India? I applied on 14th Jan and have not heard back yet. Someone applied on 15th Jan and they got approved. So I fail to understand why they did not open my file yet.

I applied from India and my review of eligibility started on 21 April 2022. After that I didn’t get any reply

Yeah I was aware of it. But hoping of any January approvals. It’s been a while and I haven’t heard any January approvals.

Have anyone faced the situation where you sp expired before the completion date of ur study & now need to apply for pgwp? I have been waiting for my extension to apply for pgwp so that i can work right away but its seeming to take long time than expected

Usually you will get a letter in your portal account roughly 24 hours after your submission. That letter indicates that you can work until waiting for the decision (It has 4-month expiry date but you are allowed to work beyond that if you don't receive the decision by that date). Even if you don't receive that letter, you can just check your eligibility to work by checking criteria listed on IRCC website. If you meet all criteria, you can lawfully work while waiting for the decision. Currently, PGWP applications take more than 120 days to process. Due to backlogs, there is currently no sign for improvement...Unfortunately.

Yes. For SOWP application, we only submitted the PGWP application submission confirmation + all other necessary documents + letter of explanation. We tried submitting PGWP via webform after we got it. Never received a reply for webform.

I need some information, so what end date did you put in the SOWP and what end date or expiry date was given on the SOWP. Hello s it same as your PGWP?

I am asking this because you applied for the SOWP when your PGWP was not issued so definitely you did not know the duration they would give you (exact date)

Hey,

I applied for PGWP when my study permit was expired. But I was on an implied status and hadnt received my study permit extension. So do apply for PGWP right away and do not wait for your extension to come through
