Could you please elaborate as to why you took an unauthorized leave of absence? It would help.

Does leaving Canada for about 2 or 3 months while studying affect PGWP? I went back home a few times while studying and I am worried this can be a reason for a refusal.
I was enrolled in a pilot training program so we don't have scheduled holidays

No, i don't think it would be a problem. Did you have classes during that period? If yes and if you attended the classes online during your time outside Canada you could state the same to help your case.

I see. I know someone who was enrolled in a thesis period and was outside Canada during Winter 2021 for 2-3 months to visit her family in her home country. In a letter when she applied for a PGWP she explained that she was drafting her thesis and showed proof of email communiques with her thesis supervisor.

Yes, if your course is 2years you are eligible for 3years PGWP

Happy to see December applications being processed.

you can check the TRV thread for applications in Canada. It should be around 3-4 weeks. For me the whole process took almost a month.

Hello I by mistake submitted a photo that was taken more than one year ago for my PGWP application? I realized I had submitted that same photo for my study permit. What should I do ? Will this cause any issue? Any suggestions please. Thank you.

I think if there's some problem with your photo, they'll ask you to re-submit your photo. It shouldn't be a problem imo.
