Post Graduate Work Permit Processing Time (PGWP)

I just got approval including two dependants.
I applied on May 4.
I did not receive any email. I checked my account and saw the approval.

Still no update for me today. I applied on May 15 and got my WP for PGWP implied status letter May 16. Hoping to get good news this week!

Are we supposed to get an implied status letter before we start working fulltime while waiting for decision on application?

May 6 - PGWP application
May 7 - Confirmation Receipt e-mail
No updates since then and checked my CIC account this morning and it says account update.
Logged in again this afternoon and PGWP has been approved. No e-mail in between and until now.
It just says approved on the portal.

Hope you guys get yours soon too.

I just have a question, as soon as we get our PGWP, can we apply for OHIP?
Another question is, I haven't gotten a passport request, is applying for TRV a separate application?

1. There are a few other requirements that you need to fulfill. You can google it from Ontario's page.

2. If you applied for PGWP inside Canada, then TRV is a separate application.

Yes, it will lead you to a Temporary Resident Visa application. Once that's approved, they will send you PPR to stamp the TRV.
