Hi guys, yesterday I called CIC regarding my application status which was applied under new public policy on January 27th 2021. They were not confirming exactly how many days it'd take to process it, but they confirmed that for new public policy a seperate team is working to make the applications review faster and it'd go by first come first serve basis. May be we Can expect the applications get reviewed this week or by next week. Good luck everyone

I applied on 18th January but still no response. Had one part-time semester in summer 2020 which wasn’t last but was eligible due to COVID-19 as mentioned on the canada.ca.

Yes, I also applied under new public policy on 27th of January. And there is also an update on the site that they will refund our open work permit fee of 100$ after once the decision is made on the application.

Haven't got any approvals yet. But as I said before in the comments, they will start reviewing the new policy applications later this week or may be next week. But I'm not sure when they will start processing ours.
