I spoke to CIC agent today and they they are processing April 25th applications. I applied on May 3rd. So let’s wait

How come people from April 25th applications are getting approved now? When May 13th and 14th Applicants have also been approved? Can anyone explain that? Thanks!

Is it possible to apply visitor visa in canada while waiting for the pgwp processing?

Yes, but you can't work if you have visitor status.

It is usually applied by people who are out of status (study permit finished) and for some reason denied PGWP. (Incomplete application, officer not satsified etc.) And the processing time for in-Canada Visitor Visa is very quick, last I checked was a week.
But I hope no one has to do that and everyone gets approved before their study permit ends.
