There would very likely be a federal worker strike, including those working for IRCC. Lucks seem to not be on our side :)).
 
*Please nobody should apply on paper for their PGWP* I just got this below message from my MP as they contacted IRCC for me because my application is 104days and processing time say 14days.

I contacted IRCC yesterday about your PGWP and this is the information I was given.

Reapplied on Jan 5.2023 for an extension of her Post Grad Work Permit
Her application is being reviewed
Processing time approximately 6 months

Hello Everyone,

I just submitted my PGWP Application couple of hours back. But after successfully signing the application and submitting the payment, my GC KEY account is not displaying the application number. Also I have only received confirmation of online transmission and not the submission confirmation pdf.

Checking the Application status page on GC key says "Please wait, while we search our system for your application".

I'm super worried as need to send the confirmation document to my employer.

Requesting your help with this.

My PGWP was about to expire on June 2023.
I applied on Feb 2nd, 2023 for an extension due to passport expiry(PAPER APP). Did not get anything back yet

I opted-in for the new extension policy last Friday, and got approved today 18 months from the approval date, not from the expiry date

The paper application is still in process.

And I don't know when to expect the new work permit to be sent by mail

Did you get any info on the paper application? I have also applied for the extension due to passport expiry on paper but have not gotten any response. I know that IRCC is on strike right now. Should I wait until May 15th for opt in since the approval date is from the date the application gets approved and not from the date our work permit expires June 2023 in your case.

Hi, I'm in the same boat. I'm wondering if we can opt in the application while waiting for extension. What if I get my extension approved, which one will be valid since I will get two work permits?
 
I applied on feb 13th for intial pgwp. I opened my account april 22 2023 which is saturday. And there was like application profile updated and the eligiblity was started. I didnt got any email though. Is your Eligiblity started?

Have you received any answer? I applied for my PGWP, SOPW, and my daughter's visitor extension on January 3rd. I'm so pissed I have note heard anything about my application
 
Hi all, when I applied for pgwp I selected “open work permit” rather than “post graduate work permit”. Does it really matter? Thanks for your help!!
