I missed my deadline to apply for my post-graduate work permit. It is over 90 days from the last day of school. I was under impression that 90 days are calculated from the day of graduation ceremony that is when you receive your college documents. Is there any way that I can apply it after 90 days.

Unfortunately there is no such provision after 90 days. The only thing you can do as of now is, find a potential employer for a closed work permit, who is ready to file an LMIA for you. That will be your valid work permit in such case. I guess you need to hurry as you might be running out of time on your TRV.

Contact an Immigration Lawyer asap. Don't waste even a single day. They may cost you a bit but you might get a temporary extension with a valid reason. Good Luck

1. Apply for the restoration of status along with PGWP application. $200 + PGWP fees. Minimum 3 months processing. No black and white rule for the restoration, purely on case by case basis.

1. Your study permit is now invalid since it's more than 90 days you complete the studies (New rules, June 2014). 2. But you have a valid visitor status in Canada up to March or as long as your TRV is valid.
