Yes my application was approved in October along with my family memebrs. My friends (I remember 3 postdocs who applied with their family members) also applied from Pakistan and all the application were processed and approved within 5-6 months time period.
Hi all, I haven't posted on here previously but I have read through threads to get an idea of how long permits typically take. Just for info, I had my work permit approved last night (on a sunday surprisingly) for a postdoc (research fellow). I'm from the UK and completed my biometrics on November 9th 2021. My application went straight from "We are processing your background check" to approved. Good luck to you all!
I got an offer from a university in ontario for post-doctoral researcher position. They sent me my offer and LMIA-exemption reference document.
My questions are as such:
1- When I try "come to canada tool", they ask me to upload:
Employment Reference Letter
Letter from Current Employer
Employment Records
Proof that you Meet the Requirements of the Job Being Offered
CV/résumé
Employment Contract
I am quite confused in the process. I have already job offer and lmia exemption. why would I need to upload employment reference letter. I am not sure if I am selecting right answers for those questions.
Is there anyone who applied for post-doc researcher work permit before??

Sorry to ask you again! I am really wondering whether they already opened our cases or our applications stuck in a million overdue applications. So, Is your status still "We are processing your application"? or is it something else?
