Possible Strike Action by IRCC employees starting mid-April

My mom had an oath scheduled for May 3rd, never got an actual invitation. Do you think she might still get it today or tomorrow morning? Vancouver (not sure if they are doing online or in-person oaths)...

I'm in the same position as your mother, my tracker says it's tomorrow however I have not received an email, I want to call ircc but I'm not in canada, can you call them 1-888-242-2100 and let me know what they say, I try calling them but that number only works if you are in canada, I email them since yesterday but no answer

Applied for citizenship Jan 2022 and did my test Sep 2022.

Finally for an Oath invitation on April 13, 2023 scheduled for May 2nd 2023.

Logged in the event today to be finally over with this whole process to find out the oath was cancelled due to strike without any prior notice.

Emailed Niagara IRCC explaining the whole situation as I'll be travelling soon.

Tried to call the 18882422100 number but it disconnects after playing the automated message.

Arghhhhhh not sure what to do.

Download TextNow app and assign a Canadian number. Thats how I'm calling them from the U.S..

My guess is that it will hold. My wife's ceremony currently ongoing.

Try to reach the call centre to find out if its in-person or virtual and the time. You could also send an email.

Oh great news! I was 2 days after you (24th April). Hope mine is not too far behind you. I also just emailed the oath department a couple hours ago, and am waiting for their response! Hopefully they reply with a date. I also have a confirmed international ticket for June 2nd.

Just got a reply from Scarborough office. They've scheduled me for the 24th of May at 8:30 am (virtual ceremony). I'm not too happy!

......now I'll have to show them my ticket etc. on the day of the ceremony to get the certificate right away, so I can get a "next day" emergency passport! I'm freaking out. Hopefully that works out!
