i am going through the moscow office and we are required proof of studies

•Copies of Documents: Send notarized photocopies (kserokopii) of all documents unless indicated otherwise. Retyped copies (as opposed to photocopies) are not acceptable.
•Translations: If your documents are not in English or French, also include a notarized translation done by an official translator. Do not translate your own documents.

in russia when you do a notorized translation they lace the copy of original to notorized translation and put a seal on the lace

anyways the notory office she went to retyped the document and laced it to the notorized translation, now the quide says no retyped copies, i am not sure what to do but i also included the original(in russian)proof of studies when submitting everything to mississauga,

oh and the retyped copy is notorized if that makes a difference :o

Dmitri,

Just noticed this thread you made. All certified documents we did have two parts.

1. Notarized photocopy of the original document (with stamps and notary info),
2. Translated and Notarized translation

So it's not good if photocopy of original wasn't sent in. If it was education documents, the photocopy is required to see the stamps. You know how Russia LOVES stamps :)

If you send in original, it might be a problem because it is not 'joined' to a certified translation which is notarized.

How did you do with this?

ya the retyped notorized copy was joined with notorized translation and they had a stamp over the lace, they refused to do it any other way so what i did was i sent that plus attached original of the documents alongside. i called cpc-mississaga and they said from past experience it will be accepted but to call moscow and find out, since you cant call moscow i sent them an email on the 3rd still no reply
i think only in russia they lace the notorized documents, so in the package i still do have original of the document and notorized translation. when photocopy is notorized it makes it original, so me including original is same thing. i hope i didnt scew up. worst case scenario i am going to russia on 11th of december and do them again, and send them to moscow once i get aor. at this point i just hope i am approved for sponsorship
