I did not submit police certificates along with the FSW application when i applied in November, 2010 because they did not need it and i had not got them then. Now i do have my police certificates so can i send them the police certificates without them asking for it or should i wait for them to ask for it. Thanks a lot.
No worries. The post 26 June doesn't require applicants to send PCC along with the app but request to make them ready once VO requests them.
I suggest you send them now even though you don't have the file number. Just write a letter with your full name, passport number, Date of birth, address...etc and dispatch the letter ad your PCC.
Mezo2009 is correct. From you family name and nationality they can easily track your file. Even though the PCC is not essential at this stage , there is no harm for sending it and you will be relieved from tension.
In the earlier guidelines, it was not required at all but in 2011 guidelines, it's is strongly recommended but not mandatory (yet.!!)
But the point is PCC is valid only for 3 months and there runs a risk that when VO requests at the later stage, PCC mighly have already expired (3 months already over since PCC was issued..!!)
OR VO must give enough time while asking for PCC so that it can be made & submitted before it expires.
But there is no official word on how much time VO gives.
Not all PCC are valid for three months, some validity goes to a year. The requirement from VO is that the PCC shouldn't be more than three months old. Both are different.
Post 26 June are encouraged rather than required to submit these PCC along with the app.
I will send the PCC. I think it makes more sense that way. Plus if they r going to expire in 3 months, its no use holding on to them anyway. Might as well send them.
