While my 3 years will be completing in July and am currently preparing my citizenship application, just wondering do I need to submit the police clearance certificate from back home, please note I have never visited any other country since I landed here in July 2015. I am a bit confused about 183 days in last 4 year stuff.
I would appreciate response from anyone who has some knowledge or gone through the same scenario.

For your purpose, just consider the one year before your landing; if you were in your home country during that period , get a police certificate from the embassy/consulate of your home country.
For a technically precise explanation;
For the purpose of a police certificate, you need to consider the last 4 years from the last day of your 5 year eligibility period for your citizenship application.
Let us say, you landed on July 1 , 2015 and you will be applying on July 1 , 2018 , you 5 yr eligibility period would be July 1, 2013 to June 30 , 2018.
During those 5 yrs, you have completed 3 yrs for the purpose of citizenship ( July 1 2015 to June 30, 2018). Now , for the police ceritificate you have to consider the 4 yr period July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2018. Since you say you did not leave Canada after landing, you only need to consider the period July 1 2014 to June 30, 2015. If you were in your home country or any other country for 183 days or more during that period, you have to get a police certificate from that country even if it means it was before your landing in Canada.
