hi
Can anyone guide me whether i need a Police Certificate as 183 days in the last 4 years even covers the period when i didnt have the PR.
Application for Citizenship : Planning at the end of January 2018
landed: Oct 2014
Last 4 years covering (Jan 2018 to Jan 2014)
So technically i was out of country if i add the period from Jan 2014 to Oct 2014..Any member who applied after the new rules and can share his/her experience will be really appreciated. Thanks
I didn't provide Police Clearance with my application and I applied Oct 11, 2017 so my eligibility period is Oct 2012-Oct 2017. I landed July 2014 as PR. My status is Decision Made and just waiting for oath.
Thanks for your response alexy....do u remember in the question 10b where it says "In the past 4 years were you in any other country apart from canada...did u marked No on that question???? Thanks
I marked No at first. Then when I received my AOR I updated my form via the webform and uploaded a new form and marked Yes in that question and added an explanation that I was not a PR at that time and if they still need a police clearance I'll send it to them. After that I got a letter requesting an updated physical presence calculator.
one more question.
Did u visited any other country like a visit in any other country during your eligibility period? and if yes the did u also mentioned the addresses of the places where u make a brief visit? Thanks

Hello Guys,
I have a question related to this topic.
We are planning to submit our applications around 15-March 2018.
Now as for Police certificate in last 4 years, my wife left for India on 4-July-2017 and will return back to Canada on 14-Feb-2018
Question is:
1. The year starts from the day of eligible period or its a calendar year ?
2. Since our eligibility period starts from 15-Mar-2013, and my wife was out of country from 4-Jul to 14-Feb, will these 224 days be part of 1 year ?
