Police Certificate From Abroad

Hi!

I had stayed more than 6 months in a certain country. I subitted the original police certificate of that country when I first sent my application about a year ago. Now they asked for it again.

Can I ask that foreign country to just send me a copy of that police certificate or I need to pay them again & get a new one done?

no you will need to get a new one, because police certificates only are valid for 12 months. so it must be over the 12 months since it was issued, if they are asking for another one.

Leisa is right. You will need an original one and even though PC is valid for 12 months, CIC requests the original PO be received by CIC within 3 months (or 90days) from the date issued.
