Can you call to IRCC and ask what happened, and in which stage you are?

My application was forwarded here in Manila Visa Office on May 27 2019. Just last month, I sent an email to MVO. They quickly responded saying that my application is already on queue for a migration officer to review.
I was thinking, was it on queue since after they sent the pre arrival letter (june 19 2019)? Wow, already 3 months on queue.

I am waiting for PPR ,now I find that the name spelling of my apouse has a small typing error,they wrongly type extra ss instead of s.

So pls. Suggest whether should I inform to VO now for the correction
or
should I inform after PPR request which option will be better for avoided delaying
