I managed to link my application to my online account, I am a paper based applicant.
There's no PDF documents there though.

How long did you wait to link your application from the date you received the AOR? and yes, there is no PDF

I did it the same day and it worked fine.

It didnt work for me, I had to fill in webform to get help.

It does say "If we begin to process your application, we will send you an acknowledgment of receipt letter or email with an application number."

So you receive AOR letter OR email with application number.....

Can anyone else confirm whether they got an email then an AOR letter too?

This is what i recieved from CIC with file number
This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on 2018/10/29.

Your emai will tells you if you have messeges in you online account then you have to check it
