I contacted cic today they told me doesn’t make much sense to do a upfront medical at this point their say only medical and security check remain for application completion. Such a long wait

This is my timeline
Inland application- Ontario International Student Job Offer
AR Aug15/2019
AOR Aug27/2019
Eligibility Jan27/2020
ADR Jan27/2020 They asked me for criminal records from backhome, canadian criminal records for my spouse and RPRF fee.
All documents were submitted on Feb27/2020
Medical exams upfront Feb14/2020
Medical results passed Feb24/2020
GU Sep14/2020, but no change.
Today, Etobicoke landing office sent me an email asking if we are living in Canada. I responded immediately.
GU Sept15/2020 PR approved. COPR was issued but I have not received it yet.

Congratulations!
My PR application got completed on Tuesday 9/15/20. Received my COPR e-mail Wednesday 9/15/20.

I got a ghost updated last week but there’s still nothing change until now and my work permit will expire soon. Anyone have any idea , should I extend my work permit now???

You should extend.
You don't know when you will get your PR.

No. I did not. I did it upfront. I submitted on Feb24/20 and it shows passed on Feb27/20. None advance after that.

Is it advisable to do so ? To get medical examination without getting MR ?

Looks like they are not sending MR in batches these days, maybe due to Covid, I would suggest you to do it early as possible. many ppl did upfront med orinherited from WP already received their PR.

You will eventually get your MR and PR.. Question is when ?. I called three times to ask for MR, agents never give you info or suggest to do.

i also called the agent say please wait for MR as I was about to go upfront.

they will never tell you to do it. or give info when it is ready. if you have less than 1 year processing left, you can do.. do it ASAP and inform them on the same day.. so they won't send you MR..

That make sense I have 4 months he also say their is no processing time now so completion variés he inform me that only mR and security check remains for me but I’m giving it until end of Month then I will get upfront
