hi,
I also got the update in my profile with background checks commenced. Mine and my spouse's medicals were passed on 30th Jan 2018.

below is my timeline
Pr applied- 9th dec 2016
Received by cic on 12th December
AOR received - 9th feb 2017
Medicals taken on - 17 jan 2018
Medicals passed on 30th jan 2018
Background check commenced- 27 feb 2018
PPR awaited....

it is so frustrating.... is it only a glitch for those who's medicals are pending and yet received the background check update in their profile or its glitch for everyone? i just hope its not a glitch after all. fingers crossed.

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

and i am sure this is not glitch as most of us are gossip since morning. Its just like we all got Medical request at the same time specially NOV AND DEC applicant. I believe its a number of applicants taken care by any officer.... If it is a glitch we can cross check with any applicant who is from feb of march 2017.....

November 28 applicant BGIP today and medical results changed to passed, i hope its not a glitch. Inland AINP.

A friend of mine was march 2017 app. And her medicals still on review but got BGIP though ... I think this is really a system error
