Hi I'm new here. A new applicant for PR. I hope you can help me.
I'm a Filipino Nurse, presently here in Kuwait. Here is my timeline.

July 2016 -MPNP LOA approved
Jan 2,2017 -submitted requirements for PR
Jan 5,2017 -CIC received my papers accdg to DHL tracking

My question is, how long shall I wait before I receive their update whether my application is approved or rejected?

I have received an email confirming my application received(got AOR simply). In my cic account my file number changed to XEP***** to EP****.

Inland applicant from BC
Application sent on October 14th
Application received on October 18th.

got AOR January 9th.

90 to 120 days from date of receipt but this will only tell you that they have formally acknowledged that they have received your application and have sent it to the appropriate visa office

You need a pcc from any country that you have spent six months or more since the age of 18.

According to this, no. However "The Canadian visa office will tell you if you need a Canadian criminal record check while your application is being processed."
