I have my payment by DD through the nationalised bank (SBI bank India) which has a branch in Torento. What i heard from the bank is that the DD need to be submitted by the beneficiary to the torento branch only to get it encashed. Now i am worried if the immigration department will submit the DD from Nova scotia to the bank branch office Torento or they will return my application asking me to take a DD which can be encashed in Nova scotia itself.
Good to know.... I'd like to start work immediately rather than to sit idly while looking for job in my occupation. Retail or any job except Restaurant/McDonald's would do. McDonald's etc are too hard for me. Lol
I started applying for job before I got here. First job was a month after I arrived, through an agency. I was there for a month, then found where I am now.
Some people have been mentioning you know when things are being processed once CIC debit your card and take payment. Is that the $550 fee? Because they took that instantly when I filled in the form online back in April...

I do not think you need to worry, CIC CIO will submit the draft to their bank (lets say scotia bank for example) and their bank (scotia as per our example) will send it to SBI for clearing.
I do not see any reason to be worried.

I think they meant is - submitting form to charge your credit card for processing fees. Rather than paying it instantly you have an option of giving credit card details on a form and then CIC charges it when they pick your application for processing.

I don't remember that... *shrugs* They've got my payment, the receipt was submitted with the application as instructed, so I'll just continue to sit here and wait
Long ago I also saw a dream of enjoying scenery from my newly rented apartment. Now I realize it was Saskachewan because it was kinda arctic climate outside. ;D ;D ;D
