I need help regarding my work permit extension. I got AINP (International Graduate Category- Employer Driven Stream and NOC 0621) on October 20, 2016 and applied for PR under PNC paper based application on November 6, 2016. My application has been accepted by CIO by November 10, 2016 and my current 'Post graduate work permit' will expire by February 7, 2017 (almost in a month). Waiting to get AOR and application number as of now.
My employer refused to support closed work permit (HR said company policy doesn't allow them to support any immigration related affairs such as LMIA, closed work permit support, etc.). I think my only hope as of now is to apply for 'Bridging Open Work Permit' paper application and the processing times are 115 days from the day application is accepted by CIC. My only concern/question is that, "Will I be able to update AOR & file number on the paper application for Bridging Open Work Permit? "

Wait till u get application number follow steps and update the with new work permit once u get it
I have applied for PR Canada under PNP programme for Winnipeg and recently i have under gone with the medical test and paid the right of PR fee on 22th dec 2016.Can someone let me know what are next steps to get the PR and travel to Canada and how long will it take to do the same.

You are on the the right track. Apply "paper-based" BOWP without AOR and buy the long implied status. You should get the AOR from CIC some time in February. When its time to evaluate your file by CIC officer, they will automatically find your AOR using your UCI. After getting your AOR, try to link up your BOWP paper application on your MyCIC account and get the application number. You can use this work permit application number to upload your PR AOR numer through Case Specific Enquiry (CSE).

Im sure yours will be very soon! They started working with oct applicants. If your documents were complete im sure youll receive your AOR. Just be positive and update us also.

I shipped my file to Sydney, NS on DEC 1, 2016.
Received the file by Intake office as of Dec 7, 2016 (as per delivery proof with sign from the intake office).
I tried to link my account on DEC 20, 2016. As soon as I linked, it shows the table where it mentioned that "Date submitted" Dec 20, 2016 (which is same as when I linked my account).
So, should I consider the file received as of Dec 7, 2016 or Dec 20, 2016? Because based on that I can expect my AOR 3 months later.
