Most of Iranian applicants go for security screening No idea!
I am in Canada from 2009, got my PhD and my husband is a citizen! I do not know how I can be a threat for Canada .... very frustrated!

What is the difference between Secuirity Check and Secuirity Screening? Are they same?

Very hard to say! If it is July 2016, your medical should have expired by now. Perhaps CIC granted you an extension already. Have you called CIC?

Cant call them now. I’m outside of canada now lol.. really want to finish this before june

Why do people ask for GCMS notes? What's the benefit of that?

Security screening happens for everyone. They check is if ur name match with any international criminals or if u hav any links with anyon. Stuff like that. That is done for everyone.
