I asked her but she said she doesn't know in detail , she said your background check is in process, call us back if you didn't hear anything till march.
I am sept 20 applicant inland

I called cic now and was being told to just wait. Agent said that 18 months is an Average time and processing is not guaranteed to be completed in given time & it could take 19 or 20 or even 22 months to complete.

He said some people got their applications finalized in 14 months, some 16 some 18, 19 or 22. It’s cases by case. 18 months is an average (mix of more and less time)

I think they are saying that just to get rid of us and not to call anymore!They told me the same once and after couple of days i called again and agent told me is everything completed could be any day now!

You are right. He was forcing me to use online system to check status. He said he don’t have information more than online i can see.
