Just received a ghost email from CIC saying there is an update. I opened my CIC account and saw nothing new.

I have send my paper based application to CIC and it was received in 20th of September, but still i am not able to link my account online. it's almost 1.5 month.
Any suggestions and help will be appreciated.

This type of transaction is very risky. Sometimes, Credit Card companies don't allow International Transactions without permission from their Senior officials, and we can't expect CIC would do this. So, online payment is the best.

I am an inland applicant and it is a Canadian credit card. I don't see any problem.

However, the banks can block the transaction in order to prevent fraud. I recommend you contact your bank and notify you are waiting for a debit from de CIC for the amount that correspond

I got the same email today, and I login my CIC account, bg check changed to: "not need at this time", previously it was " in process". Other than that, nothing new.

This response is normal. Some applicants were able to link application before AOR. You can easily link your application after AOR. Don't worry at all. Even I had to wait for3 months to link my Paper based application online

Hey siddharth_pharma84! Thanks a lot!! I ended up trying again after a while and was able to link my paper app to my online account. Must have made some error earlier that i didn't catch. Found out my file has been received but not started on yet. Received my AOR by email today early morning with both app no and uci no. Now just have to wait it out till i get the medical request if nothing else is lacking in the application. Hope its soon enough! Thanks again!
