I think CIC is moving with good pace , hopefully they will continue on the same path. What is the average timeline in process completion after getting BGIP.

In ecas (on-line services) account, there is nothing about back ground check:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 15, 2016.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 19, 2016.
3. We started processing your application on December 20, 2016.
4. We sent you correspondence on February 9, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. Medical results have been received.
   
   How ever, in my cic account (GCKey account) where I apply for WP, it says:
   
   Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
   Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
   
   Why my ecas is not updated? Any similar situation?

That's normal. Don't worry.You will get PPR soon.

For those who have GCMS notes, can you check the Security Due Date? I got mine when the processing time was still 16 month and my due date was December 20, 2017.

Since now the processing time increased 2 months, will it possible the due date also delay 2 month to February 20, 2017, which is next week?

For those who have already got BGIP, can you check the GCMS notes to see if the date matches the due date plus two months?

Hi,
there are no changes on my second gcms notes as well.

The due date of security check was still December 20, 2017.

But as i expected, The due date delayed two months, as the whole processing time changed from 16 months to 18 months.

Yesterday, on February 19, 2018, my background check changed to in progress.

called IRCC and told me they are doing background verification, not 100% sure if it is BGIP
