Yes, I did, the agent was very nice, he said "they are working on your file, including the background" . I think that means they are working on security, but just didn't change the status online.

I called them back in Nov too, they told me at that time only security left.

guys i am going crazy i always look at mycic to see if its IP but still N/A
i want to call them but dont want i called 3 times in 16.5 months
last time i called in nov they said everything is fine and only security left

Talked to CIC agent and she said only security left. I told her its already 17 and half month and she replied that its an average time to process the file so we can not guarantee that it will be done with 18 months, It might take longer

Thanks for your reply. Do we usually get an update when the BG status changes? I got PCC requests in Jan 2017 and they even sent an acknowledgement that they received them on time.

Even it’s showing on my a/c to but I just called in she said bgip

so background check can be anything, checking our docs to see if they are fake or not
or medical results and history is already background check.

for our file to go to final review to receive DM we have to pass four things
Criminality
medical
security
eligibility

then once all these are done our file location should u request GCMS will be located at PACE

passed all criteria eligiblity then will go to VO for review.

when i called in november my bg was in progress but security was not start.

So when I called in dec they told me that security is been left only. It should be security only what they r doing at this time
