i am a january 2015 applicant. got 3 document requests since september 2015. all medical issues. finished my last document request last september 8 2016. and just this morning 6am i got PPR email.
Hi!! just wanted to ask if CIC change the requirements fro the passport validity? what I know of is they accept at least 6 months validity, my PP is only valid for just a year now.thanks
i got my dependents medical reassessment on the first week of june 2016. then another full medical exams request for my common-law partner on the last week of August 2016. we tried to complete the last medical request the earliest possible. eMeds was submitted to IRCC on September 8, 2016. I also updated IRCC the inquiry web form of the completed medical exam.

passport should be valid for 12 months from the date Final request of passport is asked. this is based on the PPR email i received.
so, its better that you renew your passport and your dependents as well before Immigration sends a PPR. and once you have your new passport. have it updated thru the inquiry webform of cic website.

what is your current status regarding Medical, Eligibility, and background check? Usually an update without actual value change means someone touched your file but change may not necessarily to be reflected in the web page.
