It’s a good sign when it changed from N/A to ‘background check in progress’. Keep checking the status

This happened to me before MR. Once they asked additional documents and on that time I remember that my background check status was NA. Then two days after I submitted my documents, it returned back to in progress. Is that what you mean?

it’s very hard to guess what they are actually doing with our applications, however many of the fellow forum members have mentioned that they are now starting with a final background check even before sending MR. The processing time of tbe BG check can take only a few weeks as well as a few months, so I don’t really know how long we will have to wait from this point

Took them a while for the MR. Anyway processing time on CIC is 18months so I guess around Christmas or January 2019. Gotta be patient and hope my BOWP application goes through ok

Yep, I hope so too, but I'm in IP2 and Medical Passed, historically CIC sends the PPR email within 20 days after IP2.
I have Feb 27, 2018, and it's over 20 days, it appears CIC changes some procedures.

I submitted my files Sept 25, 2017 and received AOR on Oct 25, 2017.. and still waiting for MR..

Mine changed from N/A to Background check around Feb 14 when i received pre arrival services. Still showing the same and recieved medical request
