I called CIC yesterday as I was wondering it has been 1.5mos since my medicals and there was no updates yet only to find out that they have encoded my MR RESULTS in somebody else's UCI. :

November 19 applicant here. I did upfront medicals exam early July. In mycic, the status changed to medical passed today.

Does anyone know at what stage the 'Background Check In Progress' will change? and what does it change to?

That sounds super sketchy, my friend. Glad you called and checked on it with them! I hope they will therefore go god speed on it for your application!

I did not receive any letter to link my application to MyCIC. But I did link it few months ago. And I also noticed the changes in the background check status. It's been 10 months now...

1 (888) 242-2100 (avoid voice prompt by dialling 1131 once connected). That will connect u to an agent for PR processing in Canada. I kinda wondered why there was no update and voila, i found out it was encoded in someone else's UCI.

Yes, twas super sketchy! Yesterday marked the 2nd month of not having any updated after medicals and i think i was patient enough to wait thAt long. And i couldnt help it and i called them up

Just for those of you who have been wondering about the debate on UPFRONT MEDICALS. The consultant working on my case said it is a major problem when people do upfront medicals as they have to go into a system where ALL OF THE WORLDS upfront medicals are and they then need to link each medical of each person in the application to that application which takes a lot of time and can result in your application being delayed.
