I think if you can wait for 1- 2 weeks more , than you can do Medical in natural process . You are almost there buddy . Just little more patience would make things easy . Thats my opinion

Thanks for information bro. I am little worried bcos my work permit is expiring in couple weeks and I wont be able to extend or renew it so I thought I should go for upfront medical, at least it'll update something in my file.

Upfront doesn't speed up your process on CIC end. You should prepare for applying TRV so you have a legal status in Canada when you land

Can I work on TRV status if I apply? bcos I have to be on work since I am on employment offer nomination category and for some reason my employer is not able to help me on workpermit renewal or extension.

It's unfortunate that you have a closed work permit.You may have to apply to extend your stay as a visitor so that you do not loose your status.

Assuming you have a valid WP now, once your TRV is in the mail, you're in implied and you can work until TRV has a decision.
