The decision to do an upfront medical is an individual one. I did it because I thought it would be beneficial to me. I already live in Canada and was not too worried about it expiring. The down side of an upfront medical is that medical results expire in a year and so if done too early and depending on the progress of your file, you may need to repeat the medicals. In some cases, CIC extends it for applicants but this I believe only applies to inland applicants close to getting ppr. It's all up to you.

It's up to you. Just be informed that upfront medical is not going to speed up the process significantly and may cause risk of confusion between the doctor and CIC on the eMedical system.

Just called CIC agents this morning regarding Police Clearance Certificate in the general reminder email. The agent said there is no need to submit no-criminal record from RCMP unless you are specifically told to get it from RCMP in the email. Hope this can clarify some concerns.
If i were you i would give CIC a call, tell the agent about ur situation, they might get look into ur file.
If not, i think Hard copy should be sent out then.
I called the agent today....she said that, if you have submitted then no need to send via courier ..... as long as you got the systemic acknowledgement from CSE.....so I am waiting not sending the form via courier

@DANDAN88 : Actually you are correct here. I should correct myself.. NBI explained it.
NO CRIMINAL RECORD = means you had a previous case that dismissed,
NO DEROGATORY and NO RECORD ON FILE = means CLEAR.
Now, It must be mixed up or over looked by security agent because my NBI clearances remarks are NDR and/or NO Record on file. so I juut need to explain that I DO NOT HAVE THAT "NO CRIMINAL RECORD" REMARKS. They have to re-read my NBI clearance LOL!!!!

Recently, I tried to check the status of my application using the receipt number and it works (information is not much up to date). I am 100% sure that I put the correct and same information as my application but I cannot link my application. I would appreciate if anyone can help. Thank you.
