Called cic this morning and I was told they are working on my security check which would take three more months and I should hear sth back in April...

No, last time I called, this old lady told me it may take 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, all reasonable

Often 1 year from the date you did your medical check.

I came in 2011 for my PhD studies. Now working full-time in a software company.

Applied under BC-PNP (paper-based). I should have applied under EE.... was just too lazy to prepare those documents. I thought the paper-based application will take about a year to only. Close to 2 year now

I know it from my GCMS notes. It says security screening in progress
