You can call US border security, just google their number and ask them. However, if the person has a valid work/study permit without a TRV, they can still re-enter Canada.

In order to return to Canada to study/work, it is important to carry a:

Valid passport or travel document*, and
Valid study permit/work permit.
If you are from a country whose citizens need a Temporary resident visa (TRV) to travel to Canada, you will also need a valid TRV to return, unless you:

Are returning to Canada after visiting only the United States** or St. Pierre and Miquelon, and
Will return before your study permit expires or any extension to it.

applied in SINP program and medical done was in December 2016 but still waiting. Do I have to re-appear for medical. Please explain if any body know. Can they prolong PPR till re-medical or they will issue PPR subject to re-medical test or they give some time and or extension.... Bit in confusion.

I am Jan'17 applicant applied through SINP and recently received request letter for Updated Sch A information. Could anyone who has been applying for gcms notes share their paper location history? I understand this is April - June thread so thought would get a comprehensive location log from someone here. Just trying to get an idea of the locations it follows and when I should expect MR. My current location is BF Registry Frist request and the letter came from an agent seeking clarification on gaps for specific period. I would greatly appreciate any information.
