So I wasn't sure what to expect with this, but it turns out they do still require a photocopy of my passport and two new photos to be sent in (I'm Visa Exempt). I thought they might just use the same ones that I originally sent (why did we have to do that then if they need new ones now? anyway...). So in the last hour I've been neglecting my job and ran straight to London Drugs to get my photo taken.
The documents a Visa Exempt person needs to gather are a photocopy of the passport, two photos, and a printout of the email. If you're in Canada they require you to get two prepaid express post envelopes. One to send your stuff to Ottawa, and one for Ottawa to return your COPR. This is great news, because now I have a tracking number that I can watch each day rather than wonder if the most important piece of paper of my life is somewhere in Madagascar by mistake.
Now I'm about to head to Canada Post and send what will hopefully be the endgame in all this. 8)
I wish everyone else the best of luck, and hope that I've triggered an avalanche of good news for everyone else here too! I'll definitely stick around and help - you guys have given so much and I'll keep helping those that have questions.
More information to follow once I'm done running around the building waving my arms in the air and shouting for joy!
