Hey, guys! I guess some people might have asked this question already, but this topic is so long, so I'll try again.
We've applied for Express Entry on August 2nd, had our second payment submitted in October (they asked for it), and last week we received the Ready for visa email. We've sent all the documents to the local embassy in Paris as they asked on Saturday, Feb 23. Our application in CIC still shows as In Progress. Very confusing.
How much would it take now to receive the visa? And what are next steps?

Hi, congrats for getting PR.. Don't rely on cic/ecas status... It's not always updated.. It will probably be couple of weeks before you get your passports back.once you get your passports back, you will have to do landing in Canada.. With your passports you will receive confirmation of PR which will contain next steps.

Hi, thanks for info! We still can't believe we're at last steps of the process, really. I think until we get the documents in our hands it's gonna be unreal...
The thing is, they didn't ask for our passports - I guess 'cause it's a local embassy. Only photos and some details about us (height, eye color). So I'm wondering if we'll need to get to the embassy anytime soon to have the visa stamped in our passports.
I'm planning to go visit my family out of France and I'm afraid the embassy would call us at the same time

if you are from visa exempt country then they wont ask for passport instead they will send your COPR (the travel document). so nothing to worry.

Hello everyone. I'm trying to see if there is anyone other than me who filed his/her application in December 2014 and still waiting for pass request?
Here is my application history:
Category: PNP (Alberta)
Application received: December 30, 2014
AOR: May 7, 2015
Medical requested: May 12, 2015
Medical done: May 29, 2015
Original police certificate requested: Sept 11, 2015
Applied with my wife as dependent.
My application status is IP and based on GCMS they haven't started the Security check yet (Security: Not Started). Criminality, Medical, ... are all checked and passed! I don't know how long more this is gonna take!
Is there anyone else who has similar situation? I'd appreciate any comment... Thanks
