Hi guys,

Could anyone please answer my questions?

1) Do I have to submit my original Ielts test score with the application and does the scores have to be with application package or can I send them later?

2) Is there any way that CIC accepts the test scores reported by Ielts, if I ask Ielts to report scores on my behalf to CIC, or I have to submit them on my own?

3) I have an arranged employment offer in BC, So do you think I should go for PNP or FSW, which should be easier and faster way?

4) Is it possible that I don't have to give Ielts, as I am doing my Masters in Microelectronics Engineering in US.
I am a RA/TA which requires me to work as a teaching assistant and give lectures. Actually, I did give Toefl and GRE in Aug 2006, and I don't really know if that could work for me? Can a supporting document from my university in US acknowledge my claim of proficiency in english?

Why would you want to go the longer method with FSW When We would probably finish your nomination in 3-4 months???What is your IELT score???We are kinda liberal with our IELTS compared to some provinces. TOEFL score is too old,You might as well repeat with IELTS and Welcome to our Province log on to Welcome BC for more information

Thanks BCguy!

I still have to take my Ielts, and right now I am just thinking if I could get through without even giving Ielts. Is it possible anyhow?

Taking Ielts will be a little difficult for me right now, as we do not have any centers nearby and with my current study quarter driving me crazy, going to NYC twice to take Ielts (with different dates for Speaking and the other sections) may be a bit hard for me.

So, could it work out without taking Ielts? I mean if I could have my advisor or someone from the English Learning Center at my University give me a recommendation.

I want to apply asap, but the earliest date I can get for Ielts is 22 feb, and then the wait time for results.

2) So, could you please let me know the total time it takes to get P.R under BC PNP (Did you say 3-4 months?)

Thanks in advance!!

I appreciate your help to all the newbies in this forum!!

Hi BCguy,

Thanks for your advice. I was trying to reach the PNP link for BC, but the page could'nt be found when I click the link. Is it possible to talk to you regarding the PNP procedures, and If you could brief me how could I get nominated by BC. It would really helpful if I could get your email or phone number if you are comfortable with it.

Thanks again for your help!!

BC PNP is at http://www.aved.gov.bc.ca/provincialnominee/welcome.htm

Hi Leon,

I wished to know the documents me and my employer need to submit jointly to the BC provincial office to get the nomination certificate.

So, could you please let me know the list of all the documents my employer needs, inorder to support my nomination starting right from the HRD approval..( I mean what documents would be asked from my employer to get the HRD approval and then what documents we need to submit to get the nomination from BC)

Thanks in advance!!

Hi BC guy,

Thanks again for the quick reply.
I tried looking up on the web link from LEON, but couldn't really find the list of documents required to initiate the nomination process( My employer is pretty slow and don't know about the process). I need to provide him the list of documents he need inorder to initiate the process.
Please help!!

Once again thanks for all your help & support.

Application forms here: http://www.aved.gov.bc.ca/provincialnominee/strategicoccupations/forms.htm
Maybe try the one called "checklist" to see a list of documents you need. Or email them and ask.

Hi Leon/ BC guy,

Can I apply for BC PNP if I have approx. of 18 months experience, as the website says I need to have several years of experience and I don't really know how much several needs to be?

18 months should be fine. Normally you need a year but BCguy has said that under their program, even people with no experience qualify if the employer wants them
