Dec 23. Applicant still nothing. I have a question guys, I am going for a vacation for a week to US this November and my work permit will expire on Feb 2015. Should I apply for a BWP before I leave while obviously nothing is happening with our applications, I mean I am still hoping these will all get fixed and we all get our PRs by then.

I applied for bowp online on 30th of july my wp was expiring on aug 11th. I got an update on 7th aug that my bowp has been approved. Although I am still waiting for the document.you should be good even if you apply nefore or within a month of your wp expiring.just my opinion of course.

You can also apply 1 day before your expiring date on your WP and be on implied status after.
That what I did.

i have a question!can some1 give positive reply.i just renew my work permit as well as my spouse.but i have question bout my dependant which is 6yrs old.her status is also expired so what paper should i apply for her.thanks

when i went for RCMP Finger Prints at Winnipeg Police they also got me to do a Winnipeg Police Criminal Check , which just came in last week, do i have to send that to CIC or the Electronic Finger Prints check is sufficient?

You don't need to send that one. Finger prints is good enough. your status has been changed to IP, don't need to send anything unless required by CIC.
