I just mailed out my application for temporary resident multiple entry visa yesterday to buffalo instead of fort erie, ON. i wonder if it will be a problem since i resides in canada. pls help. i am getting worried
From Fort Eire.. they eventually get delivered by hand to Buffalo office. I believe this is just a facility provided to people residing in Canada.
I think it should not be a problem. it takes 3 weeks approx to get your passports back if everything goes well.
Both options are availabe Buffalo or Fort Erie.... It's just a little cheaper to Fort Erie than Buffalo(International). But don't sweat unless you typed the address wrong but i highly doubt that. Speaking of that, just to be on safe side I always printed out Buffalo address or any CIC office i was going to mail, and paste it with clear plastic tape in the place where you write reciever's address. I had this incident in the past before where the person who was supposed to deliver couldn't deliver it to the right address because he couldn't read the postal code right. So, always a good idea to post them with a printed typed label... I did that just for my immigration corrrespondence since teh documents were very important to me.
I did the same on 6th Feb for me and my husband and received our extended visas in 10days time
Have to say i am impressed by the application processing time at Buffalo
Hi, can u please advise on the length of extension. I was hoping to apply for a multiple entry trv. I'm hoping to get abt 2yrs or more but my post graduate work permit expires July 2013. Do you think it will be only extended till July 2013 or can it be longer period.
Please advise.
Thanks
You can try for more years but my guess is you'll get it till the end of your WP. That's what happened for me as well but then again I mentioned from and to date to match that of my WP. You can keep the To: date to be 2 years from now, the worse that can happen is they give you till the end of WP. Doesn't hurt to try
Hi,
I'm working in Canada with a WP. I want to apply for a TRV to travel around. just wonder what kind of information do I need to enclose...
Do we need a letter from my employer?
Bank statement? and what else?
I want to make sure before I mail it, dont wanna get rejected.
Visa Application (two forms. One for Visa application and other is family information)
Two Photographs
Fee's (Bank Draft... you can check for payment options on the consulate website. Payment option depends on where you are sending)
Original Passport (atleast 6 months valid)
Copy of your WP
And your last month Payslip as a proof of your income
You can look for full instructions at the following website if you are sending your application to buffalo
