hello everybody,
i wanna send application for work permit but my LMO it's not ready yet and i need like sample for the letter that i can explain them that my LMO still in prosses, please can somebody show me how i can do it?

hi..you cant apply for work permit unless you have a positive lmo..you have to wait for the lmo..

If your WP is expiring, you can send in the WP application. Attach a cover letter explaining that LMO is in process (hoping your employer has already submitted an application for LMO in your name) and that you'll send a copy once it is ready (I think a confirmation that the LMO has been sent is sufficient, not 100% sure of this though).

You should ask your employer if an application for the LMO has been sent; a tracking number if sent by mail or a fax receipt if sent thru fax (online application system is not working yet). An assurance from your employer should be enough (for you). IMO, Vegreville will know if a LMO has been sent in your favour.

please i have one more question. which application i have to fill that i have to change my employer and my WP expires too and i'm still waiting for LMO? i have to do (D) restoration or (C) extension? and can i do it on line?

When is your WP expiring? Expired => If expired, you need to send application for restoration and WP application (2 tick marks), else no need for restoration, just WP extension/application.
Is it the new employer who sent/filed for LMO in your name?
Yes you can do the application online but make sure that you attach all documents called for on the checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5556E.PDF)

You need to send the WP application before your current one expires. No implied status as a worker after the expiration of your current WP. You won't be able to continue working with your current employer, can't also start working with the new one before a WP is issued. Hopefully your LMO arrives so you can send it ASAP (actually, inform CIC of the number and they'll be able to access the details.
