Hello , I am green card holder my mother that lives in canada sponsored me to come live with her, I was recently deported for accidently overstaying on February 2020, we applied for sponsorship because I was under 22, few days ago the ircc sent us a file number acknowledging our application, and today they sent me a mail to do my medical exam, I was wondering is this sort of good news , or its nothing for now ? Please someone advice me of my next steps

It means your application has been received and it's in the very early stages of processing. You should expect it will still take many more months for the application to be processed.
