PLEASE HELP! FATHER NOWHERE TO BE FOUND

Hello, I am hoping in this forum could help me. I sponsored my wife couple years ago and now she wants to sponsor her son. ( My stepson). He was examined in the PR application. on his Birth certificate the father section was empty and he is using his moms last name + they are not married. if she submit the PR app for her son would she face a problem because the father was not on the BC? we tried to find the father to have a full custody but no luck. what should we do now?

Probably need a family lawyer to sort that out. However if there's an explanation and the father has never been in the child's life there are some places that have assumed custody. But check it out for where the child is located. That or you can look into adopting him as well. Good luck

The child lives in father inlaw. If she write a letter to cic that father was nowhere to be found do you think they would accept it? I am thinking they would because there is NO father on his birthcertificate.
