Please advise: Applying at Ryerson

Hello everyone,

I am going to apply for admission in MS (CS) next week. JUST wanted to confirm one thing, I will be applying for

YORKU MSc Computer Science(Course based)
Ryerson MSc Computer Science(Course based)
Ryerson M.Eng (Internetworking)

Is it okay to apply for two different programs at the same university i.e. MS in CS and M.Engg in networking at Ryerson? Are there any chances of refusal, would they think that I do not have a single goal : :

Did someone else applied for two different programs at same uni, then please share your thoughts.

How much words does your Ryerson SOP have?

I see that Ryerson requires a SOP of approx 500 words. Did you went over 550 ?

I have applied at Ryerson and I go this email saying that I have now completed the first part of the process by submitting the application through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre.

The second part of the application process requires me to upload all of my supporting documents electronically to Ryerson University.


How am I supposed to complete the second part ?

Is it university going to email me the details, about how I can proceed to second part?

Mine was 750 words. I confirmed this with the department they told anything betwee 500-1000 is fine.

I also applied yesterday, once you applied through OUAC the university will contact you for second step within 3-5 days with further instructions on how to upload docs electronically. But I guess I am not going to receive any email before January since Ryerson is closed form 24th dec to 7 January. I am expecting to receive it in second week of January.

What about you when did you applied? & Keep in touch if you get any correspondence.
