So I'm getting all my paperwork in place, with the intention to sign my application on the 14th...so I've done my physical presence calculator, the eligibility period is 2016-02-14 to 2021-02-13...
On the citizenship application form when it asks for the eligibility period it autocorrects...so the closest I can have is 2016-02-13 to 2021-02-13
If I change it on the application to 02-14 to 02-14....I am then prompted to put the signature date as February 15th, because it says it has to be a date after eligibility...but then it won't match the calculator application day...
The guide says the dates need to match? How to I rectify this?
Help! Thanks in advance!
When I called IRCC about this issue, they said to put the To date as what's in the online calculator and add a letter of explanation explaining the situation.
That seems like unnecessary work for something that is because their system?? Am I wrong?

You are not wrong, but it won't hurt

Hi , if you use eligible period 2016-02-13 to 2021-02-13 , I guess u have to use signature date as feb 14th(not 15th), is that right?

If I don’t attach explanation letter to explain why start dates are different, is that ok for my application?

That's right yeh. The way it's set up makes it impossible to get the dates to match...

it is the new application form system issue... no worries actually. As long as u enter ‘to date’ match with ur online calculation, it should be fine

Hi
@elzbieta1986 , I am facing the same problem. What did you do for this case?
I am having the exact same concert, the eligibility "From" date does not match with the "From" date on the application form.

can you indicate what you did on this ?

Eligibility "To" date has to be one day before you sign/submit the application...
the From date between the physical presence calculator vs application form differs by one day. It is a known glitch, you do not need to provide a LoE for it

Thanks a lot . So basically as long as the TO dates match and i use the application date in the calculator as the same date i sign the application form, it should be ok.
