PHD and it's benefit of getting a PR

Hi Folks,

I am looking for applying into PHD program in computer science(research of interest not yet decided) and have few questions regardng that

1) Would doing PHD making it easy for me to get a PR. Since it is more inclined towards research field, i am assuming that it would make my process easier unless anything else is stated.
2) Doing PHD would confine my spectrum of opportunities and would lilke to know if i will end up in any kind of job in canada and the opporutnities i have with a PHD degree.

It will get you a few more points in Express Entry, that’s pretty much it. Some companies may also consider it even if from a foreign university.

You get more points, but finding a job is the bigger hurdle, unless you go into research or universities.
A plumber or an electrician will be making more money..
