My PGWP got rejected on the grounds on incomplete fees. I was given 1 year and still had 2 years remaining to get. Since the processing time was over 90 days from when I applied and got the response, I am told to leave Canada immediately. I am unable to get an LMIA from my employer and my only option seems to apply for a PR card from outside Canada.
Should I reopen/ plea for my work permit to be reconsidered and ask CIC if I can pay the remaining fee? Will that work? Lawyers have said no.
I will be apply for Express entry under CEC ASAP aswell.
If I leave now, how long will it take for me to come back. I am forced to leave my job, home, everything that I have build here because of this error.
That is so odd that you can't just send it back and pay the proper fees. How did you pay the wrong fee? Did they not give you 90 days to restore your status?
The website said 100$ for open work permit. I paid that. But apparently i was also to select another option that would make the fee come up to $255. So I was $155 short. By the time my case got processed which took over 100 days and I received the notice from CIC. My 90 days were up.

I got a notice saying that I am $155 short and so the application has been rejected. I also cannot renew or reapply because I am over 90 days. This is so unfair! What can I do now?

Thanks. I am leaving canada in a few days. Will apply for PR and try to apply for PGWP again from outside Canada. I have to give up everything here that I have build all these years. Its emotionally shattering.
I can imagine. The 90 days I was walking about was 90 days starting from when they rejected your application. They will normally tell you your implied status ends as of the day they reject your application, then tell you , you have 90 days to reapply for a different visa.
Was this not mentioned in the letter they sent you?
